A .405 (WIN) LEVER-ACTION REPEATING TAKE-DOWN SPORTING RIFLE, MODEL '1895', serial no. 79386,
for 1915, with blued tapering 24in. barrel, ramp fore-sight with dove-tailed blade, buckhorn rear-sight, matted top to the receiver, signed action and barrel, chequered walnut butt-stock with chequered iron 'shotgun' heel-plate (cracked and repaired at wrist), chequered walnut splinter fore-end with inlet ebony tip and inlet ebony diamond around removal screw, strong amount of possible original blued finish
